Today we drove to Sonoma, the "other" valley. Interesting to note that Napa Valley only produces 4% of California's wines. They are so well known because the best of the best is produced here. Wines are produced all over the state. I didn't know that.
We started off at Dry Creek Vineyard (one of Wayne's favorites). 10:30 am we were tasting again. We were all alone with CJ our tasting man for the morning which was great. Really good reserve wines here (we left with some). He advised us to head to Armida for some great red Zinfandels.

That was a cool place. They produce something they call "PoiZin" which is a combo of all their left over Zins (a little on the cheesy side, they sell lots of t-shirts and even underwear with their PoiZin logo, a skull and crossbones - how original...). We left there with a few bottles of Zin. We had a picnic on their veranda which was a nice view (it's pretty hard to find a bad view out here...well, except from the bungalow which scenically overlooks the bottom of an overpass). 
Off to Seghesio one of the old producers out there. I took a break to be the driver after this one, but Brad enjoyed the tastings here!
After this stop we headed to a vineyard that produces our favorite Pinot Blanc, Valley of the Moon.
What do our wandering eyes see..."Wine Sale". WOW!! Jackpot here as cases were 50% off today! Sweet.
