Day 4

Today we traveled to San Francisco, stopping at Muir Woods first to admire the California Redwood Trees. They really preserve nature here, leaving trees on the floor wherever they fall. The trunks of these trees can measure 7 feet around and more. They really are HUGE! I didn't pack proper hiking shoes, so much to Brad's embarrassment I hiked in my flip flops.

After that we headed up to Golden Gate Vista to see the bridge and a panoramic view. It was foggy (wow, fog in San Francisco? Who knew!), but we could still see a lot.

After that we headed into town to lunch at Yank Sing. This is a really cool Dim Sum restaurant. Before our bums could hit the chair we were bombarded with food, dumplings, wraps, all kinds of cool foods! It was a real whirlwind lunch, just when you get a food on the table another cart pulls up and the waitress tries to "sell" you her specialty.

I made Brad walk all the way to Ghiradelli Square because silly me, I thought they actually still made chocolate there...they don't. It's just a touristy store selling the stuff you can buy at Target!

We headed to the Ritz in Half Moon Bay (thanks Alpharma) after that and had a super meal in their restaurant while Brad lamented over not bringing his golf clubs.

After a bottle of wine and a few drinks we retired to the fire pit where the locals told us to get some S'mores boxes from the front desk (they all did it), so for $55 we roasted marshmallows and ate S'mores. It was just like camp, only with waiters and a beautiful view a huge bathtub and luxury bedding!
