Today we woke up early and left Half Moon Bay to head to Napa for our Wine Train Trip! It started out a bit hokey with an announcer giving us a bit of history about Napa (didn't know that over the course of history, it was entirely covered by water at least 3 times) and serving us glasses of Chardonnay and Rose, not really two of our favorites.
But the train car itself was really nice. The Wine Train is about 6 or 7 1940's Pullman cars that were refurbished and placed on tracks bought from the government in the 80's. It's really a nice ride. We were high up in the Dome Car enjoying generous glasses of Crane Brothers red wines, a Syrah Rose, Merlot and a Syrah, all very good. We ate excellent food to, I even ate Foie Gras...
We headed over to Chimney Rock after that for one of Brad's favorite wines.
That night we chilled in the room with a Pizza.
